Dr. Robert Richart, D.C. CFMP has been in private practice since 1986. He is a chiropractic physician licensed in Arizona and Illinois. His practice is focused on functional medicine.
He is not a medical doctor and does not provide medical services.
A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Richart believes in the importance of continuing education. He is certified through Functional Medicine University, sponsored by The Southern California University for the Health Sciences as a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. In addition, he has completed a one-year mentorship in functional medicine through a collaboration program between The Institute of Functional Medicine and the Kalish Institute. He continues to participate in post-graduate education programs through the Kalish Institute.
He has passed examinations by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians leading to designation as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and by The National Strength and Conditioning Association leading to national certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. He is an Injury Prevention Specialist and presents programs on injury prevention and workplace safety as a consultant for Backsafe, Inc.
He has completed advanced training in chiropractic rehabilitation, orthopedics, and technique. He has lectured for the National Strength and Conditioning Association on evaluating the back and preventing injuries to the back.
Dr. Richart contributes to his community as well. A past president of the Niles Chamber of Commerce, his practice participated in fundraising for area charities and provided chiropractic services for local race events. He has volunteered with the Jaycees, Crimestoppers, and National Park Service.
A frequent lecturer, he has taught programs on health, wellness, and injury prevention for Kraft Foods, United Airlines, Nightingale Conant, and Shure Electronics to name but a few.
Dr. Richart, his wife Noriko, and their Labradoodles Kenta & Hachi live in the northwest Tucson area where they enjoy cycling, hiking, travel, and tennis.

I initially visited Dr. Richert last Spring out of curiosity. I don't have any serious health complaints. Since going, I have lost 20 lb., and I feel like I have more energy. I got the needed momentum also to make changes to my diet and begin looking into mindfulness practices. The cost of the program is substantial, but he was very upfront about it, and I would encourage others to go for it. Here is what to expect, if you are on the fence about doing this. He had me fill out a lengthy questionnaire about all aspects of my physical and mental health, my complaints and goals, then followed up in a lengthy interview. He prescribed at-home clinical tests of my stress hormones, my gut and my other hormones. Based on all of this information he prescribed various rounds of supplements to shore up those systems. The effects of these supplements are subtle, but real and accumulate with time.

Dr. Richart has been my chiropractor for several years. I recently did functional medicine with Dr. Richart because as I'm aging I wanted to stay in good health. After testing I was surprised to find my body needed a little tweaking. After just a couple of weeks I'm no longer tired at 3 o'clock in the afternoon my day now starts earlier and I find I'm up later. I wake up refreshed every morning and sleep throughout the night. I have been a patient for 11 years. Dr. Richart has made my life worth living. My overall experience has been great. He has helped me in every way spirit, soul and body not only me but my family also. Last year I had complications from adrenaline administered during skin cancer surgery. Today I am healthy because he treated me properly. Also from the surgery my neck was misaligned and I needed it corrected. I am almost 30 years old and have been seeing chiropractors regularly for my back/neck since I was 10 year old.
